Andrew Gilbride is a Toronto-based picture editor who believes that every good cut is one part instinct, two parts caffeine, and—when the stars align—a kind of low-key transcendence. A Film & Media grad from Queen’s University (which sounds fancier than it is, but hey, he wrote some good essays), Andrew stumbled into editing the way most people stumble into love: unexpectedly, irrevocably, and through a student fashion show.
Since then, he's carved out a path through the editing field of music videos, branded content, kids animation, and even architectural design films (yes, there’s a cut for that), eventually joining the director’s guild of canada. He’s served as Assistant Picture Editor on four feature films, an upcoming Netflix series, and one abnormal skincare documentary.
At his best, Andrew brings a sharp cutting style seamless with fast, engaging cuts, a flair for humour and emotional timing, and a deep respect for what precision editing can unlock in a story.
He’s also your favourite coworkers’ favourite coworker.
