Andrew Gilbride is a Toronto-based video editor and film/media professional who believes every good cut is equal parts instinct, caffeine, and—if the stars align—a kind of muted transcendence. A Film & Media grad from Queen’s University (fancier on paper, but yes, the essays were solid), he fell into editing the way most people fall in love: suddenly, irrevocably, and through a student fashion show.

Since then, he’s built a path across music videos, branded content, kids animation, and even architectural design films (yes, there’s a cut for that), eventually joining the Director’s Guild of Canada through their Guild Apprenticeship Program. He’s served as Assistant Picture Editor on four feature films, a Netflix series, and one abnormally beautiful skincare documentary.

At his best, Andrew brings a sharp eye for rhythm, an instinct for humour and emotional timing, and a deep respect for what precision editing can unlock in a story. He’s also your favourite teammate’s favourite teammate.

Currently at Annex Post, he spends his off-hours meditating, playing tennis, rewatching Gone Girl (again), and arguing that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is, in fact, cinema.
